CND - Hiroshima 65th Anniversary

This Friday is the 65th anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima, with Nagasaki Day following on Monday.

Events are taking place around the country, with the London event including Hiroshima survivor Shoso Kawamoto.

CND, together with the Quakers, are also hosting the exhibition "After the Bomb Dropped: How Hiroshima and Nagasaki Suffered".

The
exhibition, created by the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, tells the
story of the destruction of the two cities through photographs and
artefacts recovered from the wreckage. Numerous events are taking place during the exhibition, which is open until Thursday 12th August.

See some of the exhibits in The Independent's online photo gallery.

The exhibition is free and open daily 10-5:30 until Thursday 12th August at Friends House, Euston Rd, London NW1 2BJ.
