Can Light Travel in another Dimention?

Of course the big news this week is a particle (a neutrino) that "might" have travelled faster than the speed of light?

Dr. Brian Cox has suggested that for this evidence to be proved true,  CERN will probably askother laboratories to agree their finding and that more research will need to be done  to determine whether this latest discovery actually goes against everything we know from Einstein about the constant factor of light's speed ? He suggests that it may be possible if light travels though another dimension?
