Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is detained by Police over Boston Marathon Bombing

Dzhokhar TsarnaevBoston police have detained Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the surviving suspect in the Marathon bombing, after an operation in the suburb of Watertown.  His brother  Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, who was also a suspect, was killed during the shootout with police near Watertown on Thursday night.

The manhunt and search began shortly after a police officer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge was shot dead on Thursday. Meanwhile residents of the Boston area have been advised that it is now safe to go out, after it’s  governor advised people to stay indoors the subway system of Boston has also been re-opened.

Little is known at the present moment as to why both brothers carried out the attack on Sunday and obviously now the police will be questioning Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

As Gordon Corera, the security correspondent for the BBC says that from the information already being gleamed from their t family and the trail of information from social media shows a young brother who seemed to be a well-adjusted student and his brother less adjusted  and slowly drawing his brother into Islamist ideology. Both appearing possessing a special kinship with no sign of outside influence or support and were not part of a organised anti-American concern but rather  “self-started”  could be a greater worry to Americans.
